BlackBerry 7 was first released in August of 2010, but as of January of this year only 10% – 20% of BlackBerry owners were using the operating system.

Mr. Heins very first agenda item for RIM was to get Blackberry users up and running at maximum capacity so that they could experience what’s great about being a Blackberry owner. While some may snark on Mr. Heins first move for being too simple, it may be the right move for BlackBerry to grow. The people that will speak most positively about a product are the people using the product and loving it. Good word of mouth is something BlackBerry could greatly utilize right now.
