BlackBerry 10 smartphones are coming quick! The first batch of BlackBerry 10 phones will be released next month. Kind of. These BlackBerry 10 phones won’t be for just anybody. Research In Motion will be giving prototype BlackBerry 10 smartphones out to almost 2,000 developers who attend the BlackBerry 10 Jam that runs during the annual BlackBerry World Expo, which is held between May 1-3.

BlackBerry 10 phones will act almost tablet-like as they will run on a modified version of the Playbook operating system, according to Boy Genius Report. These initial BlackBerry 10 phones are not actual previews of the phones that will be released; rather they’re intended to give developers a platform to build upon.

Looking deeper into the future of BlackBerry 10 it seems as if Crackberry.com has been tipped off to what the smartphones will look like. The new BlackBerry 10 phones look like they will be modern in style and very contemporary. Gone will be the old keyboard heavy type phones created when RIM first started creating BlackBerry phones back in the 90′s.

PC Mag takes a look deeper into the leaked photos of BlackBerry 10 to find some potential highlights of the new phone,
